AWARENESS
When you suspect that there is drug activity in your
neighborhood this brochure will help you know what to look for and the
questions that will be asked when reporting suspicious activity.

What is the address where the activity is taking place?

What time of day/or what day is the activity going on?

Do you know the name(s) of the individual(s) involved in the activity?
What is the activity like:

Are the people coming in by car/on foot?

Are the residents coming out to the cars or the people going into
the residence?

How long are people staying?
-
Do you recognize whether the clientele are always new, or are
there repeat customers?
-
Are the cars always different or are they the same cars or a combination of
different and same cars?

Do they all go into the residence or does one go in the residence
and the rest stay in the vehicle, etc.?

How many people in the residence do you believe are involved
in the activity?

What
is the general age of the people who are showing up?

Description of vehicles and license plates?
Is there anything suspicious
occurring at the residence?

Are the windows covered with tinfoil?
-
Are the windows open in the middle of winter when they would
normally be closed?

Is the air conditioning/fan running when they would normally be
off, i.e. Middle of winter?

Do you smell chemical odors?
If you are reporting more than just activity:
- Are you willing to talk to a detective?
- Are you willing to provide your name and a phone
number where we can call you back?
- You will be asked how it is that you came to see the
drugs and/or the transactions?
- Have the individuals involved in the activity
approached you to buy drugs they are selling?
- Can you or do you know anyone who would be able to
make a buy from the person dealing without arousing their suspicions?
