West Metro Drug Task Force

The West Metro Drug Task Force is a multi-agency association of law enforcement investigators formed by agencies within the First Judicial District (Jefferson and Gilpin counties) for the purpose of effectively combating the illegal drug and narcotic problem. The following agencies participate in the West Metro Drug Task Force:

 Arvada Police Department

Golden Police Department

Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office

Lakewood Police Department

Wheat Ridge Police Department

Drug Enforcement Administration

The primary focus of the West Metro Drug Task Force is to reduce the availability of illegal substances by targeting individuals and groups involved in the importation, manufacturing and distribution of those substances. The Task Force conducts operations against street level dealers, major traffickers and clandestine laboratories.
